Q: What should my child wear? What shoes do we need? Where can I get them? A: Check back soon.
Q: How long is each session? A: Generally, four months; January - April, May-August, and September - December.
Q: Can we start at any time within a session? A: It is best for your child to be present from day one. Otherwise, they will need to get caught up on the material they have missed. Each week builds on the other to prepare for the end-of-the-session shows. We try to cut off enrollment after the first month.
Also, there is an additional $25 registration fee for families who join late.
Q: Is there a contract commitment to classes? A: No. Please let us know if you are unenrolling. There could be students on a waiting list who want a space in class. Also, teachers usually need to re-set choreography when students drop out.
Q: Where are you? A: In historic, downtown Mount Holly, NC. When you are searching for directions, please do not say the studio name only. It will most likely send you to the wrong place. When searching for directions, please use our address: 111 W. Central Ave., Mount Holly, NC. 28120.
Q: Where do you hold your recitals? A: At different places. One of our favorite go-to's is Central Piedmont Community College's Central location. Sometimes we use their smaller theatre, Tate Recital Hall and sometimes we use their magnificent Halton Theatre. Sometimes we try to keep things local, maybe at a church near-by or a local school. Covid has made it very difficult for us to plan ahead lately.
Q: Do I need to get to class early on the first day? A: No, because of social distancing guidelines you will be standing outside waiting on the next class to finish if you do arrive early.
Q. How do I pay? A: You will need to go to the same parent portal that you created when you registered. Look for the icon that looks like a credit card. Pay there. Click here for the link to the parent portal.
Q: When is tuition due? A: The first day of each month. Our small business relies on your prompt payment.
Q: Do we owe for a full month of tuition if there is a holiday or if we are absent for the whole month? A: Yes. The tuition rate we charge is what we need for each family to pay monthly in order for us to meet our studio expenses. If we did pro-rate for holidays, we would need to figure out a different tuition rate for every month and that seems like it would be really confusing and unnecessary. If your child is absent, they are still going to need to be caught up on the material they missed. Q: Can I observe a class before I start? A: If possible, we will arrange this. Once again, because of social distancing, you will need to observe from outside.
Q: Do you offer a free trial class? A: We offer a no obligation class. If your child tries one class and doesn't like it, you don't owe for that class. If you do decide to sign up, you will be charged for the class you participated in.
Q: What is your open house? A: It is a time reserved for new students and parents to drop in, see and tour the studio before classes start. It is a great time to get fitted for shoes for new and returning students.
